The Essay

Hey fellas,

I'm a creative type with a day job (which makes me either schizo or well-rounded) living in Brooklyn, NY with two feline furballs named Seaweed and Lulu.

I'm a big culture hound. I love theater, film, fiction, art and music . . . and I can chew your ear over my latest obsessions in each area.

Personality wise, I oscillate between being too ironic for my own good (the aftermath of coming of age in the early 90s) and being a cheesy optimist who reads his horoscope daily and makes wishes by throwing pennies into fountains. I can be quite shy and reserved at first, but once comfortable, my extroverted side kicks in and I become very chatty and affectionate.

I'm looking for guys pref within a 10 year radius from my age who are passionate, intelligent and have a great sense of humor. Being super cute and sexy wouldn't hurt either ;)

The Lovetastic Interview
Who would you like to play you in the movie version of your life?

I've actually sat in casting sessions to cast myself before. However, I have yet to meet a Latino Tobey Maguire. So I think I'll go with Gael Garcia Bernal.

If Hamlet invited you on a date, would you accept?

Yes. Because emo boys are hot.

What is the first interesting word to pop into your head after reading this question?

Contusion

Which is more important to you: physical or moral courage? Which would you most likely demonstrate in a touchy situation?

I would definitely go with moral courage. I feel that making a decision based on your beliefs can often be a trying experience and I really admire people who are able to stick by their principles and do what they feel is right--even when everyone tells them they're wrong. I don't know if I've ever had to demonstrate physical courage, so based on my experience, I would probably be more apt to be morally courageous in a touch situation.

Describe your feelings on religion.

I was raised Catholic, so even though I don't practice, I have a lot of cultural affection for Catholicism. Overall, I'm not a fan of organized religion (even though I also have a weird fascination with Judaism) and I prefer to say I am a spiritual person. This is very important to me. I believe there is a part of our existence that is unknown and enigmatic to us and I can't really get down with the idea that everything can or must be explained logically.
