I've come to realize that I will be better in a relationship that doing the work to find one. I believe that I make numerous good impressions over the course of a period of time rather than a grand first one. The value of being true to one's word (or simply returning a voice mail) is one that I find dearest to my heart.
In maturity, I have come to understand what love really is. It's not something to check off on the scorecard of life. Love transforms us from being individuals with our own agenda to being willing to see through another person's eyes and make sacrifices. I'm both excited and scared by love.
Enough of the sappy stuff, eh? I can name all 100 US Senators. I was an extra in a River Phoenix movie. I speak three languages. I generally dress only in solid colors. I still use a paper-based daily planner. I need to stop saying yes to the 10AM donut. I love musicals. I have hiked half of the John Muir Trail. I use a Macintosh.
I find that I am attracted to guys who are comfortable in most any situation even if new and unknown. Guys who can see the positive in any situation and can also talk sports, move to the front of the line!
Man, do I try and eat breakfast, but sometimes I don't. However, now that I've discovered that I actually like oatmeal, I might be eating the morning meal more frequently.
Yup. I teach high school Math and for some reason my gift in life is being able to connect and work effectively with 15 year old boys. Genetics works in mysterious ways, doesn't it?
Yes. In fact, there metal in my body that sets off the airport detectors is Homeland Security sets the threat level to either orange or red. There is a long story to all of this. Too long a story for this space.
Google it, no question!
I, myself, am not involved in the world of politics. However, since the 2000 election, I have been fascinated by US Politics. At that time, all the lessons of high school US History and Government came alive for me. I find it AMAZING that we as a country of 300 million organize ourselves around one document. I follow politics and elections closely still to this day.
