The Essay

I'm always looking to make new friends and am slowly opening up to the idea of once again sharing my life with someone special. Thanks to life's experiences, I've learned that relationships require unambiguous honesty and respect in order to strengthen. I'm interested in meeting guys who are comfortable with who they are and where they are in life - I'm not in need of a person to complete me but rather someone to complement me. This person should be spontaneous with life and embrace all it has to offer.

Lately for me it's been all about enjoying life's journey as it comes - with its twists and turns, its stop signs and yield signsalways allowing myself to be open to new experiences. It's then that I can't help but notice how sweet a life it is after all. (dsbrigman@mac.com)

Favorite ideas

I love good wine paired with good food and good conversation paired with good company. I love dogs and people who love dogs. In the winter, I get pleasure watching our city completely come to a halt and shut down after only 2" of snowfall. I don't mind giving directions or offering explanations to tourists on precisely how our METRO system works and is laid out (I'm Southern, we call this "being charming"). I absolutely revere and take pleasure in a fantastic bottle of Chianti. I almost never turn down chocolate--or coffee. I brush regularly and believe in the value of self-preservation (i.e., Aveda).

You deserve love. So does your future husband.
