Let's just start by admitting how fucking adorable this website is. I mean, honestly, have you looked at it? It's such a great departure from the cock and ass come-ons that we've all become accustomed to on those other sites, that no one will admit to using (but we all know you do).
Anyway, I'm relatively new to the city, I've been here for about 3 months now and I am finally starting to feel settled. I live up in Washinton Heights, which is a bit of a trek to get downtown to the office or to go out, but the area is fun and my roommates are great.
I'm a quirky 20-something looking for someone to have a good time with. I enjoy going out on the weekends, but I'm not a one bar kind of guy. I love variety, trying something new and just getting out there. I'm really into exploring new music, and I have an incredibly eclectic music collection.
I don't know who I want to be yet, but I know where I'd like to go. Music isn't the only thing that I like to explore, I love to explore the world as well. I've lived abroad for a couple years, and do my best to speak French, which seems to improve with a beer or two. My next goal is to work abroad in the near future, and I'm doing my best to make that happen.
I love to learn new things, experience new things. Discover.
There are too many thoughts running through my head right now to answer this question with any direct authority, so I'm going to take it in a wildly different direction.
I secretly want to be one of the elite in the old classics (think Mr Darcy in Pride & Prejudice). Only because I want to speak with a slight British accent and wear a three-piece suit all the time, for absolutely no reason. Three piece suits are hot.
Short answer, yes. I like to think that I'm not a shy person, but I have to admit that it's true. Anytime that I'm faced with a new situation, I tend to clam up a little, the vestiges of a very shy childhood. Once I reach a certain threshold with someone though, I loosen up and it's easy enough for me to be outgoing.
Twilight in the summer, when the day is winding down, and you're in the death throes of dinner. Sitting outside finishing dessert and a drink while the sun is setting has to be one of the most relaxing moments.
Technically, yes. My dad gave me one of his rifles when he forced me to take hunters safety courses (so that I could hunt in our backyard). Fortunately he got old and lost interest, so I never had to go more than a couple times. I don't find waking up early appealing it, and the thought of waking early to sit in a tree in the snow even less so. So, yes there is a gun. Where it is, I haven't the slightest clue.
Nope. Adding the 'e' to 'text' doesn't take an hour. Don't beat up the English language, it deserves better.
Nope. I'm not always on time, so I can't expect anyone else to be either. But if I have to consistently wait for you, then I'm obviously just wasting my time.
Only at work, because it's free and the thought of sitting at my desk until lunch drives me crazy. I couldn't check my mail in the morning without my grapefruit juice and corn flakes. But on the weekends, nada.
For life!
Yes. Working for an internet start-up has to be one of the best things going. I love the office, I love the people, and I love the atmosphere.
Paper. I'm a classy guy, so I need a classy grocery bag.
Red/Green/Blue Mars, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, I'll admit that I liked Harry Potter.
Right now i'm reading a compilation of Charles Bukowski. Great short stories and poems from a Depression era writer.
depends on my mood. Anything from pop to classical to alternative to folk to electronic.
oh, french music. and british music. and euro-trash pop too. I really like that stuff.
I love pop art and modern art, think andy warhol and that's what I'm interested in. A room full of shredded newspaper that represents something to the artist, just explain it to me and I'm sure I'll love it.
Best installation ever, The Mattress Factory in Pittsbugh, the entire basement of the building was covered in an inch thick layer of green apple hard candy, melted into a single piece.
