Ok, so I have been putting off writing this essay for too long. I kept looking at the questions under the interview section and refreshing the page so that I could get a series that I thought I might be able to answer with wit and sardonic humor. To no avail. Then I would return to this empty essay and want to encapsulate my personality here. Again no luck. So I have decided to push forward without trepidation and self-censorship. I am a thinker, daydreamer, romantic who believes that everyone is innately good. I am a problem-solving provocateur who likes to push people's buttons so that they have something to think about. If a situation seems tense or uncomfortable, I have no problem making a fool of myself in an effort to change the dynamics of the situation. I love the entertainment industry but hate celebrity culture. I read obssesively. It doesn't matter what it is, I will read it. And once I start I have to finish- even if it is crap. I am addicted to magazines and blogs. I am constantly questioning myself, my leaders and the world around me. I strive to learn something new everyday and feel like every person can make a difference. I believe in astrology. I am a taurus who enjoys good food, good fun, good conversation, good art and good sex.
Tales of the City by Armistead Maupin

He was a surfer type guy in my PE class and he had the body of a god at 14. I am not kidding. He also sat behind me in Math class and we got in trouble for talking all the time. Ask me about the reality show I saw him on last year!
A professor of mine used to put this saying on his syllabus:
Pain is inevitable: Suffering is optional
Suffering can be valuable if it leads you to a way to deal with the pain. It can be unhealthy if you fixate on it and don't try to change the situation. Sometimes suffering makes us a bit more sympathetic towards others in pain.
I would be able to bear the scrutiny but who kows if the public would be able to bear the media's representation of my personal life. I used to be quite the wild child and have no regrets. I also believe in honesty, so I will never deny anything. People may not like what they hear but they never have to wonder if I am telling the truth.
I was born in Indiana and when I was a child my family rented a house that was located in the middle a farm that grew corn. I can vividly remember running into the corn fields until I found an empty patch of land and then I would lay down and look at the clouds.
Anything by David Sedaris (honestly, if he wrote a textbook on statistics I would read it and love it.)

I need to learn more about art- anyone want to give me lessons
The ones that cause excitement.
The ones that lead to inspiration.
The ones that keep me going when I have been working two jobs but I know that they are too good to give up, so I push through the sleep deprivation so that I can see these ideas come to physical fruition.
The one I am having right now!
